The Barn -
sleeps up to 4 adults
The Barn is our largest cottage, and was first used as a barn for the animals when the property was originally a farm. It retains its oak beamed ceiling and is organised in an "upside-down" fashion to make the most of the views. We allow guests to bring up to three dogs when staying in The Barn.
Upstairs
You will find a spacious open plan living area with original beams and a wood-burning stove, where you can enjoy beautiful views of the fells of the North Pennines. There is also a fully equipped kitchen and dining area including a dishwasher, microwave and fridge-freezer.
Downstairs
The ground floor consists of two bedrooms, a double and a twin as well as a shower room with a modern suite and shower. Also located on the ground floor is the washing machine.

We arrived to a homemade lemon cake, a welcome pack for us & the dog! It has tonnes of character & charm, and I would definitely recommend & return. Thank you for such a lovely stay."

"What can I say! Everything was perfect. We arrived (3 adults and one dog!) at The Barn and Herdwick to find an unexpected welcome hamper including treats for the dog and a delicious Cream tea for the adults. The location is a perfect base for exploring the area, not far from the beautiful Lake District which we also explored whilst staying at Church Court. Thoroughly recommend and look forward to returning."
