Helm Cottage was converted from its original use as the farm stable to the appealing cottage it is today. It has all the amenities you would need on holiday, such as a TV, dishwasher, microwave, fridge-freezer, and washing machine.
The spacious upper area with its fell view and original beams, consists of a king bed, and en-suite shower room.
The ground floor has a large fully fitted kitchen area as well as a newly installed wood-burning stove, lounge chairs, and dining table/chairs. A sociable space to relax and keep the "chef" company in comfort.
"Beautiful location and accommodation. We left feeling thoroughly relaxed and our dog - Ollie really enjoyed it. Take the A686 to Alston, worth it for the views (although the road isn't for the faint hearted !) Visit Booths in Penrith for a nice alternative supermarket experience.
Great place to stay with lovely touches."

"Beautiful location, fantastic scenery and a very relaxing, cosy getaway. Easy to get to major towns like Penrith and Keswick. Can't recommend "The Highland Drove" highly enough - great atmosphere, service and excellent food. Overall an excellent weekend retreat for re-charging the batteries. Some splendid old building conversions, not least the local church."
